Instrument Panel Wiring Harness (G2300193): Removal

CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harness is not twisted or damaged on removal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.
Take extra care not to damage the wiring harness clips.
NOTE:
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  • Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
  • This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand drive vehicles are similar.
  1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .

  2. Remove the instrument panel cross-car beam.

    Refer to: INSTRUMENT PANEL CROSS-CAR BEAM .

    • Disconnect the electrical connector from the airbag wiring harness.
    • Remove the 4 ground bolts.
    • Release the 20 wiring harness clips.

    Remove the instrument panel wiring harness.
