Engine Wiring Harness - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel, Vehicles With: MHEV (G2320499): Installation

  1. Install the engine wiring harness.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the main wiring harness.
    • Fully tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 5 Nm 

    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Install the wiring harness grommet.
    • Install the wiring harness bracket clip.
  4. Install the cowl panel.

    Refer to: COWL PANEL .

    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the transmission.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
  6. Install the startup battery tray.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY TRAY .

    • Connect the electrical connector to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) actuator.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the turbocharger.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the EGR valve.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the differential pressure sensor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the exhaust back-pressure sensor.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) solenoid.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness bracket clips.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

    • Install the 3 vacuum hose clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the charge air temperature sensor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the fuel rail.
    • Install the fuel cooler bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 12 Nm 

    • Install the hose.
    • Install the wiring harness cover.
    • Connect the 4 electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the fuel rail.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP).
    • Install the 6 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the Electronic Vacuum Regulating Valve (EVRV) assembly.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

    • Connect the 3 electrical connectors to the EVRV assembly.
    • Install the 2 hoses.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the variable swirl valve actuator.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature sensor (MAPT).
    • Connect the 4 electrical connectors to the glow plugs.
    • Install the 6 wiring harness clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure and temperature sensor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the cylinder head temperature sensor.
    • Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) bracket.
    • Install the front heatshield.
    • Install the rear heatshield.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque  : 7 Nm 

    • Install and tighten the nut.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

    • Install the fuel filter bracket.
    • Install and tighten the 3 nuts.

      Torque  : 12 Nm 

    • Install the clip.
  17. Install the fuel filter.

    Refer to: FLEX FUEL FILTER (G2172339) or the appropriate service information

    • Install the fuel pipe assembly.
    • Connect the 6 fuel pipe connectors.
    • Install the 3 clips.
  19. Install the fuel cooler.

    Refer to: the appropriate service information

    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the fuel pump.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the throttle actuator.
    • Install the charge air hose.
    • Fully tighten the 2 charge air hose clamps.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the charge air temperature sensor.
    • Install the wiring harness bracket clip.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 5 Nm 

    • Install the 2 wiring harness bracket clips.
    • Install and tighten the ground bolt.

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

  23. Install the hood latch panel.

    Refer to: HOOD LATCH PANEL .

  24. Install the air filter housing outlet pipe.

    Refer to: AIR FILTER HOUSING OUTLET PIPE (G2300214)

  25. Install the air filter housing.

    Refer to: AIR FILTER HOUSING (G2294774)

    • Connect the electrical connector to the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S).
    • Connect the electrical connector to the post DPF temperature sensor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the differential pressure sensor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the charge air temperature sensor.
    • Install the 4 wiring harness clips.
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the coolant pump.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP).
    • Connect the electrical connector to the oil pump control solenoid.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the starter motor wiring harness.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 10 Nm 

    • Connect the electrical connector to the cylinder block temperature sensor.
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors to the electric thermostat.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the piston cooling jet solenoid.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Air Conditioning (AC) compressor.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the auxiliary coolant pump.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
    • Connect the electrical connector to Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG) wiring harness.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
  32. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .

    • Connect the electrical connector to the glow plug control module.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM).
  34. Install the front left wheel arch liner.

    Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER .

  35. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
