Driver Exit Warning

If the EPB  is not applied and the driver starts to leave the vehicle a warning is generated.

The warnings are generated if all the following conditions occur:

• The vehicle is in Power Mode 6 or 7 (ignition ON or engine running).
• The vehicle is stationary.
• The driver door is open.
• The EPB  is not  applied.
• The transmission is not  in PARK (P) (automatic transmission).
• The gear selector is not  in NEUTRAL (N) (manual transmission).
• The driver seatbelt is unlatched.

The following warnings are generated:

• A warning chime sounds.
• A message center warning displays.
