EPB Switch

The EPB is manually applied and released using the EPB switch. The EPB switch is located above the auxiliary lighting switch.
The EPB switch has 4 hardwired connections with the ABS , consisting of 2 apply circuits and 2 release circuits. This enables the ABS to perform a plausibility check on each switch selection.
When the EPB switch operates, the ABS activates the EPB actuators to apply the brakes. The ABS signals the IPC to turn on the EPB indicator lamp.
