Brake Pads - Vehicles With: PHEV (G2740581): Removal
WARNING:
- If the brake pad wear warning light has been activated, a new brake pad wear sensor must be installed.
- Brake pads must be renewed in axle sets only. Failure to follow this instruction may result in braking efficiency being impaired.
CAUTION:
- As the piston is pushed back into the caliper housing, the brake fluid level in the reservoir will rise. Do not allow the reservoir to overflow.
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.

- Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to activate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.

- Set the Electric Park Brake (EPB) to the maintenance position.

- Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to activate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the rear wheels and tires.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

NOTE: Right side only.
Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Disconnect and release the electrical connector from the EPB .
- Remove the 2 dust caps.
- Remove the 2 caliper guide pins from the brake caliper.
- Use a suitable tie strap to secure the caliper to one side.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Remove the rear brake pads.
