Brake Disc (G2309408): Installation

CAUTION: Damaged components must be replaced.

Clean and inspect the brake disc dust shield.

Material: Brake Cleaner (3U7J-2C410-AA)
- Install the brake disc.
- Install and tighten the new brake disc retaining bolt.
  Renew Part: Brake disc bolt Quantity: 1 .
  
  Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the brake caliper.
- Install and tighten the 2 new bolts.
  Renew Part: Brake caliper carrier bolt(s) Quantity: 2 .
  
  Torque : 110 Nm
- Connect the Electric Park Brake (EPB) actuator electrical connector.
- NOTE: Right hand side only.
  
  Secure the brake pad wear sensor grommets.
If a new brake disc is installed, make sure to install new brake pads.

Install the wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .
Calibrate the EPB using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.
General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment
NOTE: This step is only required if the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment is not available.

Deactivate the service mode function of the EPB.

Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION .
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
