Brake Caliper Anchor Plate (G2309414): Removal
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Connect the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment and set the Electric Park Brake (EPB) to the maintenance position.
General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment

NOTE: This step is only required if the JLR approved diagnostic equipment is not available.
Activate the service mode function of the EPB.
Refer to: ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE SERVICE MODE ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the rear wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

NOTE: Right hand side only.
Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.

CAUTION: Make sure that the brake hose does not support the full weight of the brake caliper assembly.
- Disconnect and release the EPB electrical connector.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Remove the 2 dust caps.
- Remove the 2 caliper guide pins.
- Using a suitable tie strap, secure the caliper to one side.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the anti-rattle spring prior to removal.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Remove the rear brake pads.
- Remove and discard the 2 bolts.
- Remove the brake caliper anchor plate.
