Brake Caliper Anchor Plate (G2309414): Installation

  1. WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.

    Clean the brake caliper housing and anchor plate using brake cleaning fluid.

    Material: Brake Cleaner (3U7J-2C410-AA) 

  2. CAUTION: Damaged components must be replaced.

    Inspect the caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

    • Install the brake caliper anchor plate.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Renew Part: Brake caliper carrier bolt(s) Quantity: 2 . 

      Torque  : 110 Nm

    Install the rear brake pads.

    • Install the brake caliper.
    • Install the brake caliper guide pins.

      Torque  : 30 Nm 

    • Install the 2 dust caps.
    • Connect the Electric Park Brake (EPB) actuator electrical connector.
    • Install the anti-rattle spring.
  6. NOTE: Right hand side only.

    Connect and secure the brake pad wear sensor.

  7. Calibrate the EPB using the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment.

    General Equipment: Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment 

  8. NOTE: This step is only required if the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment is not available.

    Deactivate the service mode function of the EPB.
