Brake Hose (G2469699): Removal

CAUTION:

Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the fluid and clean the area with water.

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

- Release the 6 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove the lower section of the wheel arch liner.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Disconnect the brake hose union.

- Remove the brake hose clip.
- Release the brake hose from the body bracket.

- Remove the brake hose clip.
- Release the brake hose from the shock absorber bracket.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

- Disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper.
- Remove and discard the brake hose.
