Brake Caliper - Vehicles With: PHEV (G2740565): Removal
CAUTION:
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
- If the brake hose banjo bolt has been loosened or removed, a new brake hose assembly must be installed.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- The flexible brake hose with washers and the banjo bolt is only available as an assembly.
- Left side illustration shown, Right side is similar.
- Use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to activate the Integrated Power Brake assembly mode.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .
- Release the 3 grommets.
- Release the 2 wiring harnesses from the 2 clips.
- Remove the 2 retainers.
- Carefully release the 2 clips.
- Remove the front wheel arch inner moulding.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.
- Remove the 2 brake caliper guide pins.
- Disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper.
- Remove the brake caliper.
- Disconnect the brake pipe union.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove and discard the brake hose.
