Brake Caliper - Vehicles With: 325 Mm Front Brake Discs (G2301112): Removal
CAUTION:
- If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
- If the brake hose banjo bolt has been loosened or removed, a new brake hose assembly must be installed.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- The flexible brake hose with washers and the banjo bolt is only available as an assembly.
- Left hand illustration shown, Right hand is similar.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .

NOTE: Make sure that only the front section of the component is removed.
Remove the front section of the front wheel arch liner.
Refer to: FRONT WHEEL ARCH LINER .

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Remove the anti-rattle spring.
- Disconnect and release the brake pad wear sensor.
- Disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper.
- Remove the 2 caliper guide pins.
- Remove the brake caliper.
- Release the inboard brake pad from the caliper.
- Disconnect the brake pipe union.
- Remove the 2 clips.
- Remove and discard the brake hose.
