Front Disc Brake (G2298409): Overview
NOTE:
17 inch diameter and 18 inch diameter refer to minimum size of wheel that can be install over the disc and caliper assembly.
The front brake assembly features a ventilated brake disc and cast-iron sliding caliper with single or twin piston.
The vehicle is available with 2 types of front brake systems:
- 17 inch diameter brake system with single piston brake caliper (the brake disc is actually 325 mm diameter).
- 18 inch diameter brake system with double piston brake caliper (the brake disc is actually 349 mm diameter).
The size of the brake discs depends on the market and the vehicle specification.
The front left brake systems are equipped with a brake pad wear sensor. Only the inboard brake pad incorporates a pad wear sensor.
