Front Bumper (G2299900): Removal
CAUTION:
Make sure that the vehicle paintwork is protected.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the front wheels and tires.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE .
- Remove the radiator grille.
Refer to: RADIATOR GRILLE .
Remove the 4 fasteners from the front bumper upper section.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Release the brake pad wear sensor wiring harness.
- Release the shock absorber wiring harness.
- Release the front wheel speed sensor wiring harness.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 2 fasteners.
- Remove the front wheel arch inner molding.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the 8 fasteners.
- Release the front section of the wheel arch liner.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the front section of the wheel arch liner.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
- Disconnect the 2 washer jet hoses.
- Release the hose clip.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

NOTE: Take extra care when releasing the clips.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Remove the front valance.
- Remove the 6 bolts.
- Remove the 2 fasteners
- Remove the engine front undershield.
Remove the 6 bolts.
Remove the 3 bolts from the both sides of the front bumper.
With assistance, remove the front bumper.

NOTE: Only do the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness at 10 clips.
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
- Release the wiring harness at 10 clips.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the front bumper wiring harness.

CAUTION:
- Take extra care not to damage the component.
- Use a suitable plastic trim tool to release the component.
Remove the headlamp washer jet covers.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Release the washer jet assembly on the right side.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Release the washer jet assembly on the left side.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the clips.
- Release the 7 clips.
- Release the washer jet hose assembly from the front bumper.
- Release the 6 clips.
- Remove the washer hose assembly.

NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Remove the front fog lamp.
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the Cruise Control Module (CCM).

NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
Remove the front proximity camera.
- Remove the 8 screws.
- Remove the 2 side finishers from the front bumper.

NOTE: Left side only.
- Remove the 3 screws.
- Remove the front bumper side bracket.

NOTE: Take extra care when releasing the clips.
- Remove the 4 parking aid sensors.
- Remove the 2 park assist sensors.

NOTE: Take extra care when releasing the clips.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Remove the front bumper lower grille.
