Fuel/Charging Socket Flap Emergency Release (G2769318): Repair

NOTE: This procedure covers the manual release of a fuel or charging socket flap should it not be possible to do so electronically.

CAUTION:
- The procedure shown in the video must be followed to prevent damage to surrounding components.
- Do not use tools during this procedure. It must be completed by hand.

1. Push the flap at the bottom edge to present the upper edge so that finger access can be made behind the flap.
2. NOTE: The push lock will break during this procedure.
  
  Pull the flap away from the push lock to release it.
Remove the fuel/charging socket flap assembly.
Refer to: FUEL FLAP ASSEMBLY .

- Release the 2 retaining clips.
- Remove and discard the push lock.
CAUTION: Make sure to protect the paintwork.

- Release the clip.
- Remove the fuel/charging socket flap.

Remove and discard the push lock tappet.
Install a new push lock tappet.
Renew Part: Push lock tappet Quantity: 1 .
Install the fuel/charging socket flap back onto the fuel/charging socket flap assembly.
Install a new push lock.
Renew Part: Push lock Quantity: 1 .
Install the fuel/charging socket flap assembly.
