GLOVEBOX (G2300725): Removal

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component. Make sure that all fixings are fully released.

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
Remove the upper Interactive Control Display Module (ICDM).
Refer to: UPPER INTERACTIVE CONTROL DISPLAY MODULE .

- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the passenger side footwell trim panel.

Open the glovebox.

- Release the 2 plastic retainers.
- Remove the section panel.

Remove the 2 bolts.

- Remove the 6 bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the glovebox.
NOTE: Only do the following steps if a new component is to be installed.

- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the HVAC Control Module (HVAC).

- Release the 6 plastic retainers.
- Remove the glovebox lamp switch.
