Oil Pump Chain (G2131434): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING .

  2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Remove the oil pan.

    Refer to: OIL PAN - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL .

    • Using the special tool to hold the oil pump sprocket, remove and discard the bolt.

      Special Tool(s): 205-053 

    • Remove the oil pump gear.
    • Remove the oil pump chain.
