Intake Manifold (G2155469): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. NOTE: Only do this step if previously removed.
    • Install a new O-ring seal.

      Renew Part: Throttle body gasket  Quantity: 1  .

    • Install the throttle body.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 12Nm 

  2. NOTE: Only do this step if previously removed.
    • Install a new O-ring seal.

      Renew Part: Manifold absolute pressure sensor O-ring seal  Quantity: 1  .

    • Install the Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature (MAPT) sensor.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 5Nm 

    • Install 4 new intake manifold gaskets.

      Renew Part: Intake manifold seals  Quantity: 4  .

    • Install the intake manifold assembly.
    • Install and tighten the 7 bolts.

      Torque  : 12Nm 

  4. Connect the coolant hose to the thermostat housing.
  5. Install and tighten the oil level gauge bracket bolt.

    Torque  : 8Nm 

  6. Install the air intake pipe.
    • Connect the throttle body electrical connector.
    • Install the wiring harness clip.
    • Connect Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature (MAPT) sensor electrical connector.
    • Connect the knock sensor electrical connector.
    • Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
    • Install the coolant connecting pipe.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque  : 10Nm 

    • Connect the 3 coolant hoses.
  10. Install the vacuum pipe assembly clip.
    • Install the purge valve assembly.
    • Install the breather pipe.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
  12. Install the rear coolant hose.
    • Install the coolant connecting pipe.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 10Nm 

    • Connect the rear coolant hose.
  14. Connect the front coolant hose.
  15. Install the breather pipe.
    • Install the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
    • Install the 3 clips.
  17. Reposition and connect the fuel delivery lines.
  18. Install the secondary bulkhead center panel.

    Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD CENTER PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/TDV6 3.0L DIESEL/TDV8 4.4L DIESEL/V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL .

  19. Install the engine cover.

    Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL .

  20. Fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: the appropriate Engine Cooling information for the procedure. .

  21. WARNING: Jaguar Land Rover Electric Vehicle Authorised Person (EVAP) trained technicians only.

    Power Up  the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to Electric Vehicle Authorised Person (EVAP) level are allowed to do this procedure.  It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the 'Electric Vehicle Safety Rules'.
