Brake Master Cylinder - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol - PHEV (G2416917): Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive, right hand drive vehicles are similar.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the cowl panel grille.
Refer to: COWL PANEL .
Remove the brake fluid reservoir.
Refer to: BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV .

Release the 2 brake line unions from the brake master cylinder.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

- Remove and discard the 2 master cylinder retaining bolts.
- Remove the brake master cylinder.

Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
