Front Overhead Console (G2154547): Removal

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

1. CAUTION: Care must be taken during this operation. Do not use excessive force or the headliner may distort and a new component will need to be installed.

   Using a suitable tool, release the front overhead console.

The following step(s) applies to: 

Vehicles with telematics

1. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the surrounding components.

   • Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
   • Remove the front overhead console.

The following step(s) applies to: 

Vehicles without telematics

   • Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
   • Remove the front overhead console.

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

1. NOTE: Only carry out the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.

   • Disconnect the volumetric sensor electrical connector.
   • Release the 3 sensors.

   Remove the volumetric sensor assembly.

   • Disconnect the microphone electrical connector.
   • Remove the microphone.
4. CAUTION: Take precautions to avoid any electrostatic charging, which could damage this component.

   Remove the gesture sunblind sensor.
