Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage Pump (G2340248): Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all components must be sealed.
NOTE:

  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .

  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .

  3. Remove the left rear wheel arch liner.

    Refer to: REAR FENDER SPLASH SHIELD .

    • Disconnect the electrical connector and release the wiring harness.
    • Release the vacuum hose from the Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DMTL) filter.

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the 2 nuts.
    • Release the evaporative emission canister.
    • Disconnect and release the vacuum hoses.
    • Remove the evaporative emission canister.

    • Release the vacuum hoses from the DMTL pump.
    • Remove the 2 bolts.

    • Remove the 2 bolts.
    • Remove the DMTL pump and evaporative emission canister bracket.

    • Remove the 3 screws.
    • Remove the DMTL pump.
