Electric Cooling Fan And Shroud (G2206792): Removal
CAUTION:
Be prepared to collect escaping engine coolant.
NOTE:
This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .
- Partially drain the engine cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- Remove the intake air resonator.
Refer to: INTAKE AIR RESONATOR .
- Remove the charge air radiator coolant pump.
Refer to: CHARGE AIR RADIATOR COOLANT PUMP .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the automatic transmission fluid cooler.
Disconnect the radiator lower coolant hose temperature sensor.
- Remove the 4 clips.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the 3 front access covers.
Release and reposition the 2 radiator upper coolant hoses.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the coolant expansion tank hose.
- Release the 2 coolant hoses.
- Release the clip.
- Remove the radiator upper coolant hose.
Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) pipe bracket bolt.
- Disconnect the 3 cooling fan motor electrical connectors.
- Release the 2 wiring harness clips.
Release the 2 coolant hose clips.
Remove the 2 bolts.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.
Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
