Cooling Module (G2206421): Removal
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Recover the Air Conditioning (A/C) system.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Remove the front bumper.
Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .
- Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud.
Refer to: ELECTRIC COOLING FAN AND SHROUD .

CAUTION: Discard the O-ring seals.
Disconnect and reposition the A/C pipe.

CAUTION: Discard the O-ring seals.
Disconnect and reposition the A/C pipes.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Disconnect the lower engine coolant hose.
Remove the upper radiator brackets.
Remove the upper radiator retaining mounts.
Remove the cooling module lower retaining bolts and rubber washers.

CAUTION: Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.
Disconnect the cooling module from the shroud.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Disconnect the condenser cooling hose.

CAUTION: Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.
Remove the cooling module.
