Thermostat Housing (G1947914): Removal

NOTE:

Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
Some components shown removed for clarity.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.
Drain the coolant system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
Remove the left side air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: LEFT AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .

Remove the thermostat cover.

Release the pipes.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

Release the thermostat pipes.

- Release the thermostat pipes.
- Remove the thermostat.
