Radiator (G1947913): Removal

- Some components shown removed for clarity.
- Evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
- Partially drain the cooling system.
Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- Remove the front bumper.
Refer to: FRONT BUMPER .
- Remove the cooling fan shroud.
Refer to: COOLING FAN SHROUD .
Remove the air duct.

NOTE: If equipped.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Remove the coolant pipe.
Release the coolant expansion tank.

NOTE: Keep the coolant expansion tank vertical.
Raise and support the coolant expansion tank a minimum of 110 mm from its original position.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Remove the coolant pipe.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping coolant.
Release the coolant pipe.

CAUTION:
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
Release the air conditioning pipe from the condenser.

Release the air conditioning pipe from the condenser.

CAUTION: Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.
Release the six clips securing the radiator assembly into the shroud.

CAUTION: Always protect the cooling pack elements to prevent accidental damage.
- Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle.
- Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Remove the cooling fan from the radiator assembly.
Release the brackets.
Remove the condenser from the radiator assembly.
