Brake Master Cylinder (G1977388): Removal

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

Using a suitable suction device drain the brake fluid reservoir.
Refer to: BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR .

- Release the 2 brake line unions.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

- Remove the 2 master cylinder retaining bolts.
- Remove the brake master cylinder.
