DTC P3499-86: Cylinder 2 Deactivation Performance - Signal invalid: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Engine running for approx 60 seconds when CVVL oil temperature greater than 20°C
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for PCM power supply and/or charging system related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check powertrain control module for continuously variable valve lift related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Refer to the relevant service information and check the oil pressure is within specification
- Install new engine oil to correct specification
- If connector and/or circuit faults are identified, repair or replace the affected components as required
- If continuously variable valve lift solenoid faults are identified, install a new continuously variable valve lift solenoid following the appropriate service procedures For additional information, Refer to: CONTINUOUS VARIABLE VALVE LIFT
