DTC P2299-24: Brake Pedal Position/Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible - Signal stuck high: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- With engine running press brake pedal to floor and hold for 1 minute, if fault is present DTC will log
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Check powertrain control module for related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to relevant DTC index
- Check that the brake pedal switch is mounted and correctly positioned on the mounting bracket/pedal box
- Check for smooth operation of the brake pedal switch plunger
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check brake pedal switch 1 circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check brake pedal switch 2 circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit
