DTC P2103-85: Throttle Actuator "A" Control Motor Circuit High - Signal above allowable range: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- Battery voltage greater than 8 volts
- No throttle driver error present
- Throttle adaptions completed
- Throttle powered with Ignition on (no other throttle Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) present) for a period greater than 30 seconds. To make sure that a fault that is only present at high throttle
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the electric throttle positive circuit for short circuit to negative circuit. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the electric throttle positive circuit for short circuit to ground. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the electric throttle negative circuit for short circuit to power. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Check the electric throttle for an internal short circuit (motor resistance should be greater than 100 ohms). Install a new electric throttle as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest. If the fault persists, install a new electric throttle
