Lower Timing Cover - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol - PHEV (G2748112): Removal
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Disconnect the 12 V system.

This procedure involves work on components associated with the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to EVCP level or higher are allowed to do this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety Rules.

- Remove the crankshaft rear seal.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT REAR SEAL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV
Release the clip.
- Remove the bolt.
- Release the clip.
- Reposition the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) away from the lower timing cover.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

CAUTION: Note the installed position of the component(s) prior to removal.
Remove the 2 bolts.

CAUTION:
- Note the installed position of the component(s) prior to removal.
- Take extra care not to damage the surrounding components.
- Remove the 14 bolts.
- Remove the lower timing cover.
Use a suitable tool to reposition the 2 dowels as illustrated.
