Block Heater (G2344459): Installation

    • Install the new gasket supplied with the new block heater.
    • Finger tighten the block heater a minimum of 3 rotations before final tightening.
    • Use the special tool to tighten the block heater.

      Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1675 

      Torque  : 55 Nm 

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the block heater.
  3. Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe.

    Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER OUTLET PIPE

  4. Install the secondary bulkhead left panel.

    Refer to: SECONDARY BULKHEAD LEFT PANEL - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV/INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL

  5. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  6. Vacuum fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM PARTIAL DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING
