Transfer Case Front Output Seal - INGENIUM I6 3.0L Diesel (G3140222): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
Remove the front driveshaft.
Refer to: FRONT DRIVESHAFT
Partially drain the transfer case.
Refer to: TRANSFER CASE PARTIAL DRAINING AND FILLING - INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL
NOTE: Make sure that the special tool is installed in the correct orientation.

Install the special tool to the transfer case front output flange as illustrated.

Use the special tool to remove the transfer case front output flange.

Special Tool(s): JLR-307-714 , 100-012
CAUTION: Care must be taken when removing the seal to avoid damage to the recess. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the component(s).
