- It is the responsibility of the Electric Vehicle Authorised Person (EVAP) to make sure they comply with any local legislation for work on High Voltage (HV).
- The approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn where indicated within this procedure and not removed unless indicated within a step. All items of PPE must be checked for signs of damage before each use, if damaged, replacement PPE must be obtained before doing this procedure.
- If the vehicle has been powered down, do not power up the vehicle until all the bonding points have been tested.
- New transmission assemblies are supplied pre-filled with transmission fluid.
- Make sure all the HV connectors, ground points and locating points are clean and free from foreign material before disconnecting and connecting.
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- All Permit To Work (PTW) documents must be kept for a minimum of 5 years.

NOTE: Only do steps 1 to 10 if the components were previously removed.
- Install the adapter plate.
- Install and tighten the 9 bolts.
Torque : 43 Nm
- Install the Emergency Park Release (EPR) lever.
- Install and tighten the nut.
Torque : 12 Nm
Install the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
- Install the catalytic converter to transmission mounting bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque : 25 Nm
- Install the transfer case.
- Use the special tool to install and tighten the 8 bolts.
Special Tool(s): 303-1069
Torque : 40 Nm
- Remove the transmission jack.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Install the transmission wiring harness.
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Install the wiring harness clip.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque : 25 Nm
- Install the heatshield.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque : 8 Nm
- Install the bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the 3 breather pipes.
- Install the 2 breather pipe clips.

WARNING:
- This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Make sure that the transmission is secured with suitable retaining straps.
Install the transmission.
Install and tighten the lower transmission bolt.
Torque : 48 Nm

NOTE: Make sure that the components are installed in correct orientation.
Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque : 48 Nm

NOTE: Make sure that the components are installed in correct orientation.
Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
Torque : 48 Nm
- Reposition the breather pipe into the correct location.
- Install and tighten the 2 nuts.
Torque : 22 Nm
- Reposition the solenoid into the correct location.
- Install and tighten the nut.
Torque : 22 Nm
- Install the 2 new O-ring seals to the transmission fluid cooler pipes.
Renew Part: Transmission fluid cooler tubes to transmission O-ring seals Quantity: 2 .
- Install the 2 coolant pipes to the transmission.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque : 22.5 Nm
- Install the 2 new O-ring seals to the transmission fluid cooler pipes.
- Install the 2 new O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Motor Generator (MG) coolant pipe O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 2 .
- Install the 2 coolant pipes into the transmission.
- Install the coolant pipe bracket.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque : 22 Nm
- Install the 2 new O-ring seal.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
Install the breather pipe clip.
- Install and tighten the HV
cable nut.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the clip.
- Install and tighten the HV
cable nut.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the coolant pipe clip.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
- Install the front driveshaft.
Refer to: FRONT DRIVESHAFT
Remove the transmission jack.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
- Install the HV cable bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the 3 wiring harness clips.
- Install the HV cable support bracket.
- Install and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the EPR cable to the EPR lever.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the 2 EPR cable clips.
- Install and tighten the wiring harness nut.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the wiring harness clip.
- Install and tighten the wiring harness nut.
Install the 2 breather pipe clips.
Install the 4 breather pipe clips.
- Install the breather pipe.
- Install the breather pipe clip.
Install the wiring harness bolt.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Install the electrical connector clip.
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips.
- Install the inverter to Crank Integrated Motor Generator (CIMG) 3-Phase High Voltage Cable.
- Install the coolant pipe assembly.
- Connect the 4 hoses.
- Reposition the ground cable to the correct location.
- Install and tighten the bolt.
Torque : 25 Nm
- Install the starter motor.

- Install the rear driveshaft.
Refer to: REAR DRIVESHAFT
- Install the catalytic converter.
Remove the engine support beam and the engine support adapter.
Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1692 , JLR-303-1692-04
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the 2 engine compartment braces
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the special tools.
Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1713
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the special tool.
Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1569
- Install the purge valve.
- Connect the electrical connector.
Install and tighten the HV cable bracket nut.
Torque : 12 Nm
Install the 2 breather pipes to the 2 clips.
- Install the secondary bulkhead center panel.
- Install the hood.

Power up the HV system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure. It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.
