Left Upper Arm (G1605918): Installation

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

CAUTION: Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

NOTE: Right side illustration shown, Left side is similar.

Install the upper arm and the 2 retaining bolts.
CAUTION: Nuts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Install the front upper arm rear retaining nut.

Torque : 60 Nm
CAUTION: Nuts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.

Install the front upper arm front retaining nut.

Torque : 60 Nm

Secure the upper arm to the knuckle.
NOTE: Make sure the upper arm to knuckle retaining bolt is securely seated on the groove of the ball joint pin.

Install the upper arm to knuckle retaining bolt.

Renew Part: Front suspension upper arm ball joint to knuckle nut and bolt Quantity: 1 .

Torque : 70 Nm

Secure the height sensor.
Install the front left wheel and tire.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE

Install the bracket and the 2 retaining bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm

Install the left air cleaner.

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic system, pressurize the air suspension.
Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic system, calibrate the suspension ride height.
