- Speed control inhibited or disabled
- Power or ground supply to adaptive speed control module
- Steering wheel speed control switch/circuits
- Throttle sensors
- Brake switch
- ABS fault
- Speed control sensor obstructed
- Check for DTCs that could be caused by power or ground failure to the module and refer to DTC index
- Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the appropriate service information and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
- Check for engine throttle position sensor DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index. For throttle position sensor tests REFER to: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEX - TDV6 3.0L DIESEL - GEN 2, DTC: POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) B10A2-07 TO P02D7-32
- Check for correct installation and adjustment of brake switch. Refer to the appropriate service information and check brake switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
- Check ABS system for related DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index
- Make sure there is no snow, ice or other obstruction on the face in front of the speed control radar. Adaptive cruise control will not engage until the radar has detected valid target(s)
- Unable to regulate/adjust vehicle speed
- Steering wheel switch malfunction
- Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the appropriate service information and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
- Unable to cancel speed control from steering wheel
- Steering wheel switch malfunction
- Check for sticking, jammed and broken speed control switches. Refer to the appropriate service information and check speed control switch circuits for short circuit, open circuit, high resistance
- Unable to cancel speed control from brake pedal
- Check for correct installation and adjustment of brake switch. Refer to the appropriate service information and check brake switch circuits for short, open circuit, high resistance
- Adaptive cruise control not available, intelligent emergency braking not available, forward alert not available over 80 km/h (50 mph), DTCs C1A67-78 or C1A67-54 set in the cruise control module or minor damage to the front bumper
- The cruise control module radar bracket is designed to bend to protect pedestrians in the case of a minor collision. This means that it can be susceptible to minor collisions with walls, fences or bollards. Often the bumper surface will spring back into shape masking the collision damage
NOTE:
Pathfinder guided diagnostics will be updated to run the orientation check when DTCs C1A67-78 or C1A67-54 are in the cruise control module
- Check the cruise control module radar bracket alignment, straightness and mounting. Refer to the appropriate service information and check the adaptive speed control module adjustment
- Due to the shape of the bracket, checking the straightness by eye is difficult
- A bent cruise control bracket (upper) compared with a new part (lower). Install a new mounting bracket if damaged
