Electronic Engine Controls - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol/INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol - PHEV (G2387011): Overview

The Ingenium I4 2.0L Petrol engine is an in-line, double overhead camshaft, 4 cylinder engine, which is longitudinally mounted in the engine compartment. The Engine Management System (EMS) is controlled by a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) located in the engine compartment. The PCM uses inputs from various sensors to control actuators to achieve optimum conditions of all aspects of engine running, emissions and performance.

The PCM also control the Electric Power Inverter Converter (EPIC) to control the Motor Generator (MG) incorporated into the hybrid drive assembly. The PCM controls the vehicle power delivery from both the petrol engine and the MG.
