Hybrid Modes

The vehicle has 3 hybrid modes that are set by the Interactive Control Display Module (ICDM) and the 'EV' button in the floor console. The 3 hybrid modes are as follows:
- 'EV': Electric power only is used. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the Motor Generator (MG) with the Electric Power Inverter Converter (EPIC) to power the vehicle.
- Selected by pressing the 'EV' switch in the floor console. Press the switch again to revert to hybrid power.
- The lamp in the 'EV' switch illuminates when the Electric Vehicle (EV) mode is selected.
- The Instrument Cluster (IC) displays information on the state of charge of the PHEV battery and related information.
- Hybrid (default mode): The PCM selects the appropriate power source to optimize the performance and efficiency of the vehicle.
- The IC displays information for both the petrol engine and the PHEV battery.
- 'SAVE' mode: Selected from the Interactive Control Display Module (ICDM) 'MY EV' screen.
- In this mode the vehicle is powered by the petrol engine only and the PHEV battery state of charge is maintained.
