Item Description
1 Brake Booster Module (BBM)
2 Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module

Brake Booster Module

The Brake Booster Module (BBM) is located on the rear driver side of the engine compartment. The BBM sends data to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) of the driver braking requirements via the FlexRay.

For additional information, Refer to: BRAKE BOOSTER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV

Anti-lock Brake System Control Module

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module is secured to a mounting bracket located in the front left wheel arch. The ABS control module is mounted on the rear face of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). The HCU controls all braking and stability functions by modulating hydraulic pressure to the individual wheel brakes.

If an ABS control module fault is detected, 'ABS FAULT' will be displayed in the Instrument Cluster (IC) message center. The ABS amber warning indicator will illuminate.
