The PHEV battery expansion tank is located on the right side of the luggage compartment behind the right luggage compartment trim. The PHEV battery expansion tank provides a reservoir of PHEV battery coolant for the PHEV battery temperature control system and also allows the PHEV battery coolant to degas.
The PHEV battery expansion tank has a pressure cap that releases the pressure in the PHEV battery temperature control system if it exceeds a set level.
