Turbocharger - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Petrol - PHEV (G2163179): Overview

The Ingenium 2.0L Petrol Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) engine is equipped with a twin scroll type turbocharger with an electronically operated wastegate actuator.
The turbocharger consists of 2 elements, the turbine and the compressor. These elements are enclosed separately in cast housings and mounted on a common shaft, which rotates in ball bearings.
The turbocharger is cooled using engine coolant, allowing it to operate with increased exhaust gas temperatures.
To control the charge air pressure of the turbocharger, the wastegate actuator and the Compressor Recirculation Valve (CRV) are installed within the turbocharger system.
