Valve Clearance Adjustment (G1666691): Adjustment

  1. Remove the camshafts.

    Refer to: LEFT CAMSHAFT 

    Refer to: RIGHT CAMSHAFT 

  2. CAUTION: Do not use a magnet to remove the tappet.

    Remove the tappet and measure the thickness.

  3. NOTE: Use the following formula to calculate the required tappet thickness

    Original tappet thickness + measured valve clearance - desired valve clearance = required tappet thickness.
