Front Muffler (G1509423): Removal

WARNING: Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the exhaust clamp nuts.
CAUTION: Make sure that the exhaust system is supported with suitable retaining straps.

Release the 4 exhaust mounting rubbers.

Remove the front muffler.
NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Cut the rear silencers.

Special Tool(s): 100-051

The following step(s) applies to:

SVA/SVR Vehicles

CAUTION: The exhaust clamp is a single use component and must be replaced if removed or loosened.

- Discard the exhaust clamps.
