Exhaust System - V8 S/C 5.0L Petrol (G1509422): Installation

CAUTION:
- If accidentally dropped or knocked install a new Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S).
- Make sure the HO2S wiring harness is not twisted more than 180 degrees and is not in contact with either the exhaust or driveshaft.
- Make sure the anti-seize compound does not contact the HO2S tip.
NOTE:
- If the original sensor is to be installed, apply lubricant meeting specification ESE-M12A4-A to the thread of the sensor.
- Only do the following step(s) if the component was previously removed.
- Using the special tool, install and tighten the 4 Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) to the 2 catalytic converters.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1666
  
  Torque : 48 Nm
NOTE: Only do the following step(s) if the component was previously removed.
- Install the 2 exhaust dampers to the exhaust system.
- Install and tighten the 2 exhaust damper bolts.
  Torque : 22 Nm
NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- With assistance, install the exhaust system.
- Install the 6 exhaust mounting rubbers.
- Install and tighten the 2 new exhaust manifold nuts.
  Renew Part: Exhaust manifold nuts Quantity: 4 .
  
  Torque : 40 Nm
- Install the transmission mounting brace.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 24 Nm
- Reposition the left body undershield.
- Install and tighten the 2 bolts.
  Torque : 12 Nm
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.
- Install the front right HO2S wiring harness to the 3 clips.
- Connect the front right HO2S electrical connector.
- Install the front left HO2S wiring harness clip to the transmission.
- Connect the front left HO2S electrical connector.
- Connect the rear right HO2S connector.
- Reposition the rear right HO2S connector heatshield.
- Connect the rear left HO2S connector.
- Reposition the rear left HO2S connector heatshield.
- Install the transmission heatshield to the transmission.
- Install and tighten the 6 bolts.
  Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the transmission undershield.
- Install and tighten the 8 M10 bolts.
  Torque : 60 Nm
- Install and tighten the 3 M6 bolts.
  Torque : 10 Nm
- Install and tighten the screw.
  Torque : 9 Nm
Install the engine undershield.
