Active Exhaust Soft Key

The active exhaust switch is a soft key located on the Interactive Control Display Module (ICDM) and can be activated through the Vehicle  screen. Touch the Vehicle  at the top of the ICDM to see the Vehicle  settings screen.

A momentary press allows the driver to activate or deactivate the active exhaust system manually. The soft key notifies the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC) to transmit the active exhaust operation request. The Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) receives the request. The signal to the BCM/GWM is transmitted via the High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) comfort systems bus. The BCM/GWM assembly broadcasts the signal on the FlexRay bus to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
