PHEV Battery Coolant Pump

The PHEV battery coolant pump is located under the floor of the luggage compartment at the rear of the vehicle. The PHEV battery coolant pump operation is controlled by the Battery Energy Control Module (BECM). The PHEV battery coolant pump circulates the PHEV battery coolant through the PHEV battery temperature control system. The speed of circulation of PHEV battery coolant is controlled by a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal from the BECM.
The PHEV battery coolant pump has a 3 pin connector. The 3 pin connector has the following connections:
- A 12V supply from the Rear Junction Box (RJB).
- A PWM signal from the BECM.
- A ground connection.
