MHEV Battery Cables

NOTE: The 5 seat MHEV battery cables are shown, the 7 seat MHEV battery cables are similar.

ITEM DESCRIPTION
1 Electric supercharger
2 Ground cable
3 Direct Current to Direct Current (DC/DC) converter
4 DC/DC converter busbar
5 MHEV battery
6 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery to the MHEV battery junction box
7 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery junction box to the DC/DC converter
8 MHEV battery junction box
9 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery junction box to the Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG)
10 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery junction box to the electric supercharger
11 BISG

The MHEV battery cables have a pale blue outer covering. The MHEV battery cables connect the following components:

The MHEV battery cables distribute the MHEV battery voltage of approximately 48V to the MHEV battery components.

1 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery junction box to the electric supercharger
2 MHEV battery cable - Rear section (MHEV battery to the MHEV battery junction box)
3 MHEV battery cable - Center section (MHEV battery to the MHEV battery junction box)
4 MHEV battery cable - MHEV battery junction box to the Belt Integrated Starter Generator (BISG)

There are 4 sections of the MHEV battery cables that have Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) screening on them. These are the following:

Each section of EMC screening on the MHEV battery cables has an electric terminal for a vehicle body ground connection. The electrical ground connection is with a bolt installed to the vehicle body.
