Spring (G1951951): Removal
CAUTION:
Nuts and bolts must be tightened with vehicle at normal ride height.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING
- Remove the rear wheel.
Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE
- Remove the rear wheel arch liner.
Refer to: REAR FENDER SPLASH SHIELD
Disconnect the height sensor.
- Disconnect the stabilizer bar link.
- Discard the nut.
Using a suitable stand, support the lower control arm.
General Equipment: Transmission jack
Use two suspension spring compressors located on opposite sides of the spring. Make sure the suspension spring compressors are correctly installed. Refer to manufactures instructions.
General Equipment: Suspension Spring Compressor
- Disconnect the rear shock absorber.
- Discard the nut and bolt.
- Disconnect the tie-rod.
- Discard the nut and bolt.
- Disconnect the integral link.
- Discard the nut and bolt.
- Disconnect the wheel knuckle.
- Discard the nut and bolt.
- Lower the lower control arm.
- Remove the spring.
Remove the upper locator.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the locating pin.
Remove the lower locator.
Inspect the components and renew if damaged or worn.
