Hybrid Electric Vehicle Power Down/Up (G2201736): Activation
- The EVAP must make sure any EVCP and members of the working party have been informed that no further work can be performed on the vehicle, the EVCP must sign the clearance section of the PTW before handing the vehicle responsibility to the EVAP.
- Remove the safe status sign and display the active sign where it is clearly visible. The sign should state that:
- The vehicle high voltage electrical system is operational.
- The vehicle high voltage electrical system is active.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

NOTE: Make sure the terminal protective cover is correctly positioned.
Install the DC-DC cable.
Torque : 24 Nm
- Install the High Voltage Junction Box (HVJB) heatshield.
Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the transmission undershield.
Torque
M10: 60 Nm
M6: 10 Nm
- Lower the vehicle.
- The following steps require the Safety Accompanying Person (EVCP) within the vicinity of the power down procedure. This person must have access to the safety hook at all times.
Remove the auxiliary HV cable lock out tool.
Connect the auxiliary HV cable to the HV battery.
Remove the padlock and lock out tool from the HV battery.
Connect the HV connector to the battery.
General Equipment: Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Remove the padlock and lock off tool from the HV battery.
Install the Master Service Disconnect (MSD) in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Connect the electrical connector.
Remove the lock out tool from the auxiliary battery cable.
Connect the auxiliary battery ground cable to the body ground stud.
Torque : 12 Nm
Remove the padlock and lock out tool from the positive battery terminal on the startup battery.
Connect the startup battery positive cable.
Torque : 6 Nm
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Torque : 6 Nm
- Install the right side loadspace side trim panel.
Refer to: RIGHT LOADSPACE TRIM PANEL
- Install the loadspace compartment floor trim.
Remove the protective sticker from the charge flap.

- Collect the vehicle key and turn on the ignition with brake pedal depressed. The vehicle should now start and display 'ready' on the instrument cluster.
- If the vehicle fails to start contact JLR Technical Assistance (TA).

- Use the Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to read and clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's).
- The EVAP must now sign the cancellation and power up articles of the PTW.
