Right Turbocharger (G2131202): Installation
- Install the pipe on to the turbocharger.
- CAUTION:
- Check the turbocharger and exhaust manifold mating faces for distortion.
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.
Install the turbocharger. Install new studs, gasket and nuts.
Renew Part: Turbocharger to exhaust manifold gasket Quantity: 1 .
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold to turbocharger studs Quantity: 3 .
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold to turbocharger nuts Quantity: 3 .
Torque
Studs: 15 Nm
Nuts: 24 Nm

- Connect the vacuum pipe.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the turbocharger heatshield.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the turbocharger oil return pipe. Install a new seal and gasket.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe seals Quantity: 1 .
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil return pipe gasket(s) Quantity: 1 .
- Install the turbocharger support bracket.
Torque : 24 Nm
- Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Install the vacuum pipe.
- Connect the clean air intake pipe to the turbocharger.
Torque : 10 Nm
- Connect the charge air cooler pipe to the turbocharger.
Torque : 7 Nm
- Connect the turbocharger oil feed pipe. Install new washers.
Renew Part: Turbocharger oil feed pipe banjo bolt washers Quantity: 2 .
Torque : 30 Nm
- Install the exhaust cross over pipe. Install new gaskets, nuts and bolts.
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold cross-over pipe gaskets Quantity: 2 .
Renew Part: Exhaust manifold cross-over pipe nuts and bolts Quantity: 4 .
Torque
Exhaust cross over pipe nuts: 22 Nm
Exhaust cross over pipe bolts: 11 Nm
Exhaust cross over pipe support bracket: 25 Nm
- Install the starter motor.
Refer to: STARTER MOTOR
- Install the right Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.
Refer to: RIGHT EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE
- Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- If a new component has been installed, configure using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
