Brake Pads (G2049160): Installation

  1. Clean the brake caliper housing and anchor plate using brake cleaning fluid.
    WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials can be harmful if inhaled.

  2. Inspect the caliper piston and slide pin seals for damage.

  3. Push the brake caliper pistons back.
    CAUTION: Check the brake fluid reservoir level before pushing the piston back, failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the vehicle.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  5. Install the brake pads.

    Renew Part: Brake pad set - Rear Quantity: 1  . Part Number: LR095295

  6. Install the brake caliper.

    Torque  : 28 Nm 

  7. Install the spring.
  8. Install the rear wheel.

    Refer to: WHEEL AND TIRE

  9. Repeat the above procedure for the other side.
  10. Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.
  11. Calibrate the electric parking brake (EPB) using the diagnostic tool.
