Brake Caliper (G2131600): Removal
CAUTION:
- Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the fluid and clean the area with water.
- Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
- Connect the diagnostic tool and set the Electric Park Brake (EPB) to the maintenance position.
- Release the park brake cable tension.NOTE: This step is only required if the diagnostic tool is not available.

- Release the electric park brake.NOTE: This step is only required if the vehicle has no battery power.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

- Remove the wheel and tire.

- Remove the brake pad spring clip.
- Release the wiring harness.
- Remove the banjo bolt.CAUTION:
- Inspect the brake hose sealing washers for signs of damage, if damage is present discard the sealing washers.
- Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.

- Disconnect the brake pipe union.
- Remove the retaining clip.
- Remove the brake hose.
- Remove the brake caliper.
- Remove the EPB actuator.CAUTION: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.NOTE: Only carry out the following step(s) if the new component is to be installed.
Renew Part: Electric park brake actuator O-ring seal Quantity: 1 .
